Obituary of Leonard W. Dutcher

Leonard W. Dutcher Sr., 74, of Gloversville, passed away on Saturday September 5, 2009 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Leonard was born on April 6, 1935 in Northville, the son of the late Delbert and Vivian Pitcher Dutcher. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. On December 22, 1956 Leonard married Laura Romaine Dutcher. They shared over 52 years united in marriage. He loved the outdoors. Some of Leonard?s hobbies included hunting, fishing, golf and bowling. But most of all Leonard loved his family. In addition to his wife, Leonard is survived by his 2 children: Debbie Sardelli Dan of Mayfield, and Leonard Dutcher Jr. Becky of Gloversville; 6 grandchildren: Apryl, Anita, Allison, Kerry, Joshua and Cory; and 1 great grandchild, Hailey Ann. Additional survivors include: one brother, Keith Dutcher and one sister, Esther Dutcher both of Arizona; several brothers and sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. There will be no services and cremation will take place at Parkview Crematorium in Schenectady. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont St; Gloversville.
