Obituary of Gloria Wunder

Mrs. Gloria Wunder, 77, formerly of West Caldwell, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 26, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Giovann and Marie DeMattese Guarino. She attended schools in New York and was employed as an executive secretary with Midlantic Bank in New Jersey until her retirement. Gloria will be remembered for her love of gardening, old movies and as an avid dog fancier. She will be missed dearly. On June 19, 1963 she was united in marriage to Arnold G. Wunder. That union lasted nearly 44 years until his passing on January 17, 2008. Her family includes her daughter, Victoria Boppert and her husband Christopher of Canajoharie; one granddaughter, Jane Marie Boppert; a sister, Antoinette Laura of Brick, New Jersey; a niece Loralee Arcuni and her husband Orestes of Redding, CT; several great nieces and great nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 2 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to a humane society of choice.
