Obituary of Donald Foster

Donald "Hawk" Foster, 70, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY. He was born in Attica, NY on September 3, 1938, the son of the late Charles and Grace May Hayner Foster. Donald attended school in Attica, NY and served in the United States Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman who was a loving grandfather, father, brother, companion and friend. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Foster of Poughkeepsie, NY; a daughter, Beth Debyah and her husband Mike of South Weymouth, MA; a brother, Robert Aylsworth and his wife Lil; his sisters: Lillian Treat and Lynda VanSon and her husband Everett, all of Attica; two grandchildren: Alexander and Zoe Debyah and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Don Treat, and his longtime companion, Evelyn Wilson in 2007. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 11 am in Bleecker Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Donald's memory to the ALS Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Road, Albany, NY 12205.
