Obituary of Leonard John Voght

Leonard John Voght, 52, of Gloversville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born, March 12, 1957 in the Town of Minden to Edna Lewis Voght and the late Leonard E. Voght. Leonard was a life long resident of the area and was a graduate of Fort Plain High School. He worked as a truck driver for Borent Metal Products in Gloversville for several years. He was a member of the Mohawk Valley Campers and enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and many friends. His loving family includes his mother Edna Voght, his loving companion and fiancé Kimberly Collins, his daughters, Jennifer Jason Ouderkirk of Canajoharie and Jessica Voght of Ft. Plain, his grandchildren, Alex and Hannah Ouderkirk of Canajoharie his brothers, Larry Deb of Ft. Plain, John Deb of Starkville and Matthew Tara of Georgia, his sisters Cindy Robert Spraker of Ft. Plain, Alberta Kevin Smith of Ft. Plain, Claudia Steve Richard of Canajoharie and Robin Jeff Woods of Saltspringville and his fiancé's children Kristain, Zacharia, Alex and Amanda Brooker. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his father, Leonard E. Voght in 2005. There will be no Calling Hours. Graveside services will be at 1:00PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Fort Plain Cemetery, Clyde Street, Ft. Plain with Rev. Kenneth Dingman, officiating.
