Obituary of Ruth M. Conrad

Miss Ruth M. Conrad 87, passed away Wednesday morning at the Sarah Jane Sanford Home in Amsterdam. Born July 29, 1921 in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Ella Sauer Conrad. She was a 1939 graduate of the Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Ruth was employed in the Personnel And Payroll Department of the Amsterdam Printing & Litho Company for 38 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of the St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam, the Faithful Followers Bible Group and a former member of the church choir for 60 years. Ruth is survived by cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. Dr. John Califano officiating. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 24 Pine Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
