Obituary of Joan Cipriano

Joan Cipriano 66, of Route 334, passed away Saturday morning at the Nathan Littauer hospital in Gloversville. Born December 19, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Frances Cipriano. She moved to Fonda in 1968. Joan was employed by the White Mop Wringer Company in Fultonville as a press operator and welder for 27 years until retiring in 2002. She was a former member of the Johnstown Moose Lodge and she was of the Roman Catholic Faith. Joan loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and ceramics. Survivors include her loving family, three sons, Raymond Veeder of Fonda, Anthony Veeder of Amsterdam and Michael Veeder of Broadalbin; a daughter, Joy-Havin Van Horne; 13 grandchildren; several cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at 11:00AM at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY with the Fr. Patrick Gallagher OFM Conv. Officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda. A calling period will be from 10:30 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
