Obituary of Colleen Sonia Niedziela

Colleen Sonia Niedziela, 49, of Green Rd. South in Sprakers, NY, passed away Tuesday April 28th, 2009 at Albany Medical Center Hospital, Albany, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY on May 22, 1959 a daughter of John and Rita Lung Zielinski. She attended local schools there and has lived in the Sprakers, NY area for the last 21 years. She was a homemaker. Colleen was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church in Fonda. She is survived by her companion, John Lasher of Sprakers, NY. Her Father, John Zielinski of San Diego, CA. Two sons, Frank Stanley Babiarz and his wife Beth Neely of Ft. Ann, NY and Jason Babiarz of Amsterdam. One daughter, Sheila Niedziela of Sprakers, NY. A sister, Zeena Powlicki of Akron, NY. Two grandchildren, Katelyn Amber Babiarz of Amsterdam and Marlie Babiarz of Ft. Ann. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Colleen took great care of her family and loved being with them. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren. and will be missed by all. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 2nd, 2009 at 11:00A.M. at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, Broadway, Fonda, NY with Father Patrick Gallagher OFM Conv. as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery in Fonda. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY 12072.
