Obituary of Phillip W. Watrobski

Phillip W. Watrobski, 85, of County Highway 132, Hagaman, passed away Thursday evening at the E.L. Wilkinson Health Care Facility with his loving family at his side. Born in Hagaman on May 26, 1923, he was the son of the late John and Josephine Rygelski Watrobski. A lifelong resident, he was a communicant of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church where on February 19, 1949, he was united in marriage to the former Marion Fisher who predeceased him on August 12, 2000. Phillip was the successful founder of the Watrobski Builders in Hagaman. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working in the outdoors, traveling and being with his beloved pets. He was involved in many community activities including the Perth Democratic Club. He leaves his loving family; daughters: Linda Yurkon Joseph , Debra Ninan Todd S., all of Hagaman, Dr. O. Ninan of Johnstown; grandchildren: Dr. Afton Yurkon of Alexandria, Va., Chanel, Phillip Jr. and Tatiana Ninan all of Hagaman, Dr. Bindu Mathew and Dr. George Mathew of Hawthorne, NY; a sister, Virginia Cetnar of Arizona and nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brothers; Stanley, Joseph, Adam, Frank and Louis Watrobski, and sisters Sophie Cetnar and Jane Orlowski. The family of Phillip would like to greatly thank the wonderful staff of the Wilkinson Center, and Dr. Patel for their loving care given to Phillip. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass Of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Stephen's Church, Pawling St. Hagaman. Fr. Martin DeRose, celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in memory of Mr. Watrobski to St. Stephen's Church, the Perth Volunteer Fire department or to the Activities Center at Wilkinson RHCF all in care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam NY 12010. Phillip's family has entrusted his arrangements to their care.
