Obituary of Beverly June Taylor

Beverly June Taylor, 80, of Union Street, Amsterdam passed away Thursday, December 25, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in Delhi, NY on March 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Albert and Lena Dibble Rice. Beverly was a resident of Amsterdam for nearly her whole life. In the late 1960's, she met McDonald Taylor in Amsterdam whom she married in 1978. He predeceased her in 1993. Beverly was a home maker who took great pride and joy in the difficult task of raising a family. As her family grew her greatest passion was to spend time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition, Beverly enjoyed needlepoint, crafts and watching her daily soap operas. She will be sadly missed. Her loving family includes her daughters, Charlotte Burdick of Amsterdam, Sherry Stanley Martin of Delanson and Sharon Gary Dumond of Roxbury, her son, Howard Julie Burdick of Ohio, her grandchildren, Candice Will Hayes of Amsterdam and Sheila Burdick of Amsterdam and her great-grandson, Damien Hayes of Amsterdam. Several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Beverly was perdeceased by two daughters Sheila Burdick and Sheryl Hoaglan, one grandson Richard Hoaglan, two brothers John and Glen and one sister Dorothy. Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with Rev. Cynthia Leonard, officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to services on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00PM. Following cremation, interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Steadwell Avenue, Amsterdam.
