Obituary of Micheal P. Waffle

Micheal P. Waffle, 27, of Old Ridge Road, North Charleston, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly Monday December 8, 2008 at his home. Born in Gloversville, NY on December 19, 1980 he was the son of Michelle Vaughn Markert. He was raised in Amsterdam, NY. He attended Amsterdam High School and later was a graduate of Schenectady High School. While in the Amsterdam area Micheal worked at various restaurants and truck stops. He moved to South Carolina a year and a half ago. Mr. Waffle worked as an Alarm Specialist with L & S Electronics in North Charleston, South Carolina. He was an avid bow hunter and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of various Bow Hunting Leagues and Clubs in the area. Micheal was always willing to help others and would do anything for anybody. He will be missed by all who knew him. Micheal was of the Lutheran Faith. He leaves behind his Mother, Michelle Vaughn Markert and his Step-Father Gary Markert of Palatine Bridge, NY; Grandparents, Shirley and Robert Markert of Perth, NY; Grandmother, Glenice Wrobel;two step-sisters, Nancy McDonald Sam of Amsterdam, NY and Rebecca Wieszchowski; Step-Brother, John Markert of Virginia Beach, Virginia; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his grandfather, Robert Vaughn. Other survivors include his best friend, Tom Barkalow of South Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Friday evening December 19, 2008 at 7:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with Deacon Gail Markert presiding. Interment will be in the spring. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family or to the Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078.
