Obituary of Della Mae Cooper

Della Mae Cooper, 87, of Cooper Road in the Town Of Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in the Town Of Florida where she resided her entire life, on Aug.6, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Nettie Mae Newkirk Buckley. A home maker, she lived at her present address for over fifty years where she kept beautiful flower gardens. Della's life revolved around her family, and she loved caring for her granddaughters and now her great grandson. She was a member of the former First Reformed Church. On March 14, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arthur C. Cooper. He predeceased her on Oct. 17, 1988. She also lost an infant daughter, Joan Annett Cooper and her sister, Mary Ellen Turner. Her loving family includes her daughter Joyce A. Shull and her son David A. Cooper both of the Town Of Florida; her three granddaughters; Sally Aguero, Billie Jo and Bobbie Jean Shull; and her great grandson, Aidan Aguero; her nephew John and his wife Anne Turner of Scotch Bush. Services are Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. The Rev. Cynthia Leonard, officiating. Interment is in Chuctanunda Cemetery, Minaville. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA or the Town Of Florida Volunteer Fire Dept both in care of the funeral home office.
