Obituary of David Earl Lott

David Earl Lott, age 85, of Branch Street, Gloversville, passed away after a long illness Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at his home with his family by his side. He was born July 21, 1923 in Richmondville, NY, the son of the late Charles and Jesse Markel Lott. He Attended Richmondville High School. David served four years in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a musician throughout his lifetime and was known to play nearly every instrument. David was also an avid bowler. David was employed by the Amsterdam Recorder for 30 years as a computer technician. He was very handy and could repair most anything that needed to be fixed. His family and friends will always remember him to be the best husband, dad, grandfather and friend. He married his wife Mary of 61 years, on October 18, 1947, she survives. Survivors also include his sons, Ken and Vickie Nethaway, David W. Lott, Gary and Lisa Lott and Marvin and Sharon Lott, all of Gloversville; his daughter, Diane Lott, of Gloversville; sisters, Marjorie Terpening and Dorothy Sperbeck, both of Richmondville; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Lott, at birth; brothers, Theodore Lott and Walter Lott; granddaughter, Katrina Lott and grandson, Johnathon Robert Lott. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
