Obituary of Michael V. Soulla

Michael V. Soulla, 40, of First Street, Amsterdam, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 6, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the beloved son of the late Vincent Soulla and Mary Smith Soulla. A lifelong city resident, he was a graduate of Amsterdam High School, and at the time of his death was employed by Big Lots Department Store. Michael was an avid sports fan of the Dallas Cowboys, The Lakers and the NY Yankees. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His loving family includes his mother, Mary S. Soulla; three sisters, Cynthia Frank Pacillo, Deborah Michael Teliha and Linda Soulla Gary Gutowski; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 at the funeral home. Because of Michael's love of animals, it is requested that donations be made to the animal organization of one's choice.
