Obituary of Irene M. Dillenback

Irene M. Dillenback, 92, formerly of Dillenback Rd, Palatine Bridge, NY , passed away early Saturday morning September 6th, 2008 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home. Born in the Town of Minden, NY on August 23, 1916 a daughter of Frank and Maude Brockett Coso. She was a lifelong area resident and attended Canajoharie Schools. Mrs. Dillenback was employed for many years at Lifesavers in Canajoharie, NY, working in the Gum department and the also in the Beechnut baby food division retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Stone Arabia Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA of the Church. She was also a member of the Preservation Society of Stone Arabia and the Stone Arabia Grange. She married Lynndon Jake Dillenback in September of 1939. He passed away on May 26, 1967. Mrs. Dillenback is survived by one son, Dennis M. Dillenback Donna of China Grove, N.C., One brother, Calvin Coso Pauline of Palatine Bridge, NY. Four grandchildren, Leah Tweel Christopher, Benjamin Dillenback Samantha, Hanna SouthardJustin and Arielle Williams Joseph. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Irene was predeceased by a brother, Frank Coso and three sisters, Edith Birk, Ruth Vooys and Ellen Mancini. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 8, 2008 at 11:00A.M. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Kenneth Dingman presiding. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00A.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance corps or to Stone Arabia Trinity Lutheran Church.
