Obituary of Gladys M. Handeles

Gladys M. Wells Handeles, age 90, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was born March 15, 1918 in Fonda, NY, the daughter of John Perry Hamilton and Bessie Waffle Wells. She was employed by various businesses in the Gloversville area as a Glove Worker. Gladys was married to John Joseph Handeles who passed away December 29, 1979. Gladys took pride in living very independently. She loved watching and ordering from QVC. She also faithfully watched her soap from 12:30 to 1:30; no one dare call her at that time. She loved animals and always had pets throughout her life. She loved to travel and visit her grandsons. Her days and evenings were spent knitting and crocheting. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all of us. Survivors include daughters, Gladys Joy and her husband John Mosetti of Gloversville and Jacqulyn and her husband Angelo Graziane; grandchildren, John Mosetti, Steven and Michelle Mosetti and Richard Mosetti; great-grandchild, Anna Lauren Mosetti and companion cats, Valentine & Baby. Services will be Tuesday at 12:00 PM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home 51 Fremont Street Gloversville. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY.
