Obituary of Chester C. Burke

Chester C. Burke, 54, of Brand Road passed away peacefully Friday, July 4, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany on November 14, 1953 a son of the late George and Dorothy Schoonmaker Burke, Sr. Chester was a life resident of Sprakers, residing at the original family home. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting and riding recreational vehicles. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. His loving family includes his brothers; George, Jr. of Colorado, John of Amsterdam, Robert of Sprakers, Richard of Glen, William of Sprakers, and Gary of Sprakers, and his sisters; Ann of Sprakers, Edna of Sprakers, Deborah of Sprakers, Maryann Nightingale of Canajoharie, and Arlene of Sprakers. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents, Chester was predeceased by two brothers, Steven Burke, Sr. and Paul D. Burke. Funeral Services will be at 1:00PM on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie. Interment will follow in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.
