Obituary of Frederick William Aldinger

Frederick William Aldinger, Jr., 73, of Caroga Lake, passed away Sunday June 29, 2008 at the Mountain Valley Hospice House in Gloversville. Born in Schenectady on July 29, 1934, he was the son of the late Frederick William Sr. and Hertha Langfeld Aldinger. Fred moved from Schenectady to Caroga Lake in 1969. He was employed as an Electric Planner for Niagara Mohawk in Gloversville. He was a former assessor for the Town of Caroga. He was also a member of the Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Company. Fred was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a past president of the Wheelerville Union Free School Board. Survivors include his wife, Judith Aldinger of Caroga Lake; a son, Frederick W. "Fritz" Aldinger III of Rainbow Lake, NY; a brother, William Aldinger and his wife Janet of Schenectady; a sister-in-law, Beverly Crandall of Scotia; and two nieces and Nephews. There will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Fred's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078 or to the Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 536, Caroga Lake, NY 12032. Arrangements are under the care of Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home.
