Obituary of Kathaleen L. Gray Marlitt

Mrs. Kathaleen L. Gray Marlitt, age 68 of Gloversville, died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Albany Medical Center after a short illness. She was born January 14, 1940 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Lawrence Gray. She was employed for 30 years by N. A. Taylor Company in Gloversville, where she worked as a stitcher. Kathaleen was married June 23, 1962 to Walter C. Marlitt who died November 27, 1990. She is survived by seven siblings: Paula Marlitt Delbert, Mary Jane DeVoe Ralph, Florence Achzet Douglas, Rosie Gray, Dorothy Trumbull David, Edward Gray Carol and Vivian Vanderwerker Jim, all of Gloversville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, William C. Marlitt who died July 23, 1988. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathaleen's memory to the charity of one's choosing.
