Obituary of Leonard C. Brown

Mr. Leonard C. Brown, 60 of Gloversville, died suddenly on Sunday, April 13, 2008. Born June 26, 1947 in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Arlene Ashley Brown. Mr. Brown was a 1965 graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School and a Naval veteran of Vietnam. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post # 2077 in Gloversville Leonard had worked most recently part-time as a custodian for the Johnstown Reformed Church. He loved camping, especially at Cedar River. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Williams Brown of Gloversville, whom he married May 1, 1971, his children: Leonard Buddy Brown II, Evelyn Brown and Marie Loren Paul all of Gloversville. He is also survived by his sisters; Ann Melvin Veeder, Dorothy Doug Irby and Charlene Brown all of Gloversville, a half-sister Sue White of Lowville, two brothers, Charles Brown and companion Carolyn of Broadalbin, Earl Rebecca Brown of Gloversville and a half-brother, Howard Brown of Guilderland. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Nathaniel Brown, Jacob Brown and Sarah Paul, several nieces and nephews.Mr. Brown was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas Brown, a half-sister, Emmy Brown and his half-brothers; Charles and Edward Brown. A memorial service will be held 6 pm Wednesday at the Johnstown Reformed Church 351 N. Perry St., Johnstown with Reverend Brian Dykema, Pastor, officiating. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
