Obituary of Mary A. Zazzero Tamoliunas

Mary A. Zazzero Tamoliunas, 92, formerly of Mohawk Dr., Tribes Hill, NY and also of Fonda, NY passed away Friday April 4, 2008 at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home in Gloversville, NY. She was born in Fonda, NY on February 5, 1916 a daughter of Frank and Antonia I'Aniello Zazzero. She was a lifelong area resident and attended Fonda schools. She was employed for the Conroy Glove Co. and the former Knox Gelatin Co. both in Johnstown, NY. She last worked for the General Electric Company in Schenectady for 11 years retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Tribes Hill, NY. Mary enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking. She especially loved to bake her Italian Cookies. Survivor's include one daughter, Anna LaVoie and her husband, Jack of Tribes Hill, NY. A daughter in law, Carole Luciano Parker and her husband Roy of Northville, NY. Two granddaughters, Leann Piazza Carmen and Liza LaVoie of Gloversville, NY. Five great-grandchildren, Mary Grace, Peter and Carmelo Piazza, Kelsey and Ethan Barkley. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Mary was predeceased by her son, John J. Luciano on November 30, 2002 and a great-grandson, Noah La Voie Barkley on November 30, 2000. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 8th, 2008 at 9:15A.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St. Fultonville, NY followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00A.M. at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, Broadway, Fonda, NY. Interment will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Fonda NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday April 7th, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00P.M. at the funeral home. A Legacy Candle Ceremony will be conducted at 6:45PM to end visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Cecilia's Church, Broadway, Fonda, NY 12068.
