Obituary of Helen E. Iannotti

Mrs. Helen E. Iannotti, 71, of Erie Terrance, died early Monday, March 24, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital following a long illness. She was born on November 24, 1936 in Ballston Spa, NY to the late Lawton and Grace Woodruff Sr. Helen was a homemaker who loved her family dearly. She also worked for Ward Products in Amsterdam for 15 years until her retirement in 1997. She was of the Roman Catholic faith and will be missed all who knew her. On October 1st, 1955 she was united in marriage to John A. Iannotti Sr. That union lasted just over 50 years until his passing on November 26, 2005. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Sampson and Harry Woodruff. Her loving family includes her son, John A. Iannotti Jr.; a daughter Kelly Bennett and her husband Mark, all of Amsterdam; her siblings, Robert Woodruff and his wife Barbara of Rotterdam, NY, Lawton Woodruff Jr. and his wife Mimi of Las Vegas, NV, and Roberta Cole and her husband Earl of Broadalbin, NY; seven grandchildren, Mikayla, Michael, Robbie, Amber, Samantha, Grace, Fayln, all of Amsterdam; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 10a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Pascal Iannotti as celebrant. Interment will take place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 until 7 this evening Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Mary's Church Memorial Fund, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
