Obituary of Rose M. Booth

Mrs. Rose M. Booth, 88, formerly of Wilson Avenue, Amsterdam, and most recently of Tecumseh Way, Scotia passed away peacefully Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born on June 27, 1919 in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Manginelli Campochiro. A lifelong area resident, she attended schools in Amsterdam and worked as a glove maker for several shops in Amsterdam and retired from the Amsterdam Glove Company. Rose loved cooking, sewing, baking and was a bowler for the Ladies Independent League. A parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel, she was also involved in the Rosary Alter Society and the Seniors. On April 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to the late Anthony "Sonny" Booth. That union lasted 55 years until his passing on October 25, 2002. Her loving family includes her children, Arlene Camp of Scotia, NY and Michael Booth of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Elaine Teeter and her husband William of Amsterdam, NY; three grandchildren, David Erica DeLorey, Aaron Booth and Rebecca Booth; twin great grandchildren, Tyler and Kiersten DeLorey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11:15a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Pascal Iannotti as celebrant. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the church or The American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.
