Obituary of Sarah LaBate Iannotti

Sarah LaBate Iannotti 90, of Yale Street, passed away peacefully Friday evening at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility. Born in Amsterdam on March 5, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Josephine Messineo LaBate. Educated locally, she lived here her entire life. An expert seamstress, Sarah worked for over fifty years at Breier's Of Amsterdam until she retired. She was known as an excellent cook and especially loved to bake for family and friends. Sarah had a kind and loving nature and will be truly missed. She leaves her beloved husband of nearly sixty five years, Vincent "Jim" Iannotti; her sister; Pauline LaBate of Saratoga Springs; her brother Frank and his wife Jean LaBate of Amsterdam; and many dear nieces and nephews, cousins and close friend Tuesday Gray of Fort Plain. In addition to her parents, Sarah was predeceased by her brothers; Anthony and Thomas LaBate, and sisters Antoinette Fontecchio and Carmella Cipullo. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass Of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:15 am at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church. Sarah's brother in law, Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Johnson. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Auriesville Shrine or Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church, both in care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, to whom Sarah's family has entrusted her arrangements.
