Obituary of Anne E. Brooks

Anne E. Brooks, 93, formerly of Oakland Avenue, passed away Thursday morning at Our Lady Of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland. Born in Brooklyn, New York on April 1, 1914, she was the daughter of David and Fanny Katzman Eisenberg. Anne moved to Utica as a child with her family until relocating to Amsterdam in the late 1930?s. A home maker, she was a member of Temple Israel. Anne was a member of St. Mary?s Hosp Auxiliary and volunteered at the hospital for a number of years. Her love for her family was unconditional. Her beloved husband, Irving Brooks, whom she married on August 20, 1939, predeceased her on Dec. 6, 1991. Anne is survived by her son, Richard D. Anita Brooks, of Voorheesville; her daughter; Carol S.Robert Spector of Murphy North Carolina and Lecanto, Fla.; 4 grandchildren and 5great grandchildren also survive. Services are Tuesday December 18, 2007 at 1:00P.M. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Rabbi Martin Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in Temple of Israel Cemetery, Cranesville, NY. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from Noon Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
