Obituary of Janet E. Lusso

Janet E. Lusso, 65, of Lang Drive, Town of Glen, NY passed away unexpectedly Wednesday December 12, 2007 at her home. Born in Gloversville, NY on April 21, 1942 a daughter of Clarence and Marion Eglin Howland. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Janet went on to attend Albany Business School before beginning work first as a clerk in the medical records department at the former Johnstown Hospital and later St. Mary?s Hospital in Johnstown and Amsterdam. She retired earlier this year. Janet loved her family especially her cats and dogs. She also enjoyed gardening and most of all whale watching and made many trips to go on whale watching tours throughout her life. She was a member of the Glen Reformed Church. She married Norman Lusso in 1967. He passed away in 1991. Survivor?s include her nieces and nephew, Kristine M. Marotta and her husband Matthew of the Town of Glen, NY and William Howland Sr. and his wife Kelly of Gloversville, NY. Great niece and nephew, William Howland Jr. and Marion Marotta. Cousins, Donna Getman and her husband James of Meco, NY. She was predeceased by a brother, Gary Howland on April 14, 1997. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday December 27, 2007 at 6:00P.M. at the Glen Reformed Church, State Hwy 161, Town of Glen, NY with Rev. Stacey Midge presiding. Interment will be in Maple Ave Cemetery, Fultonville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Janet?s memory to the Montgomery County S.P.C.A. State Hwy 5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to the James Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd, Gloversville, NY 12078. A reception will follow the Memorial Service in the Glen Reformed Church Hall.
