Obituary of Paul Joseph Beaudry

Paul Joseph Beaudry, 27 years old, of St. Hwy. 67, Johnstown, died Friday at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Paul was born September 17, 1980 in Richland, Washington, the son of Paul P. and Sharon Lawton Beaudry. He and his family moved back to the Johnstown area in 1984. Paul graduated from Johnstown High School in 1999 where he was a member of the band and played tennis and soccer. He was also a member of the Schenectady Youth Hockey Travel Team from 1991-1999. Paul then went on to obtain a B.A. Degree at SUNY Oneonta where he was instrumental in establishing Oneonta?s first club hockey program. During his college years he worked as an instructor for the Mohawk Valley Tennis Association. Paul earned his Masters in elementary education and special education from the College of St. Rose. While at St. Rose he was a substitute teacher for the Shenendahowa School District. Paul continued his love of Hockey, playing with the Mohawk Valley Men?s Hockey League at Union College before moving to Florida. He then accepted a position with the Volusia County School District, in Florida. Paul fought a life long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He never allowed his disease to interfere with his zest for life. Paul is survived by his parents of Johnstown; aunts, uncles and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:45am Saturday, December 1, 2007, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Johnstown, by The Rev. Kenneth Swain. There will be no calling or viewing period. Paul?s family would like anyone who wishes, to join them at 11:30am, at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall immediately following the Church service.
