Obituary of Greta Pritchard

Greta Pritchard, 81, of Cranes Hollow Road, Amsterdam, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital with her family by her side. Born on June 26, 1926 in Heddesheim, Germany she was the daughter of the late Heinrich and Elsa Schwartz. Greta married her husband, John Pritchard, and moved to the United States in 1947. She worked for many years at St. Clare?s Hospital in Schenectady before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband John in 2000; along with a brother Heinrich and a grandson Steffen. Her loving family includes, her children, Dannie Pritchard and his wife Elke of Germany, Elsie Colliton and her husband Richard of Amsterdam, NY, John Pritchard and his wife Linda of Scotia, NY, Vicky Brooker and her husband Burdet of Amsterdam, NY, and Thelma Bradt and her husband Chuck of Schenectady, NY; her grandchildren, Nicole, Tina, David, Kimberly, Angel, David Howard, Cody, Laura; several great grandchildren; her dear friends in the States and Germany; and her beloved cats Blackie and Midnight whom she loved dearly. The family also wishes to thank her two favorite doctors, Dr. Snider and Dr. Pizarro for their care through the years. At Greta?s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services.
