Obituary of Anna Dybas

Anna Dybas 87, formerly of Crane Street, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility after a lengthy illness. Born in Amsterdam on May 26, 1920, she was the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy Watrobski Pawlak. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Anna worked for a number of years as a mail clerk for Amsterdam Printing And Litho before she retired. She was a lifelong resident and was a parishioner of St. Stephen?s Roman Catholic Church in Hagaman. Anna was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband John A. Dybas; brothers, Thomas, Stanley and Felix Pavlak; sisters, Theodora Szuzucki and Florence Pavlak. Her loving family includes her brother Walter Thomas Pavlak and his wife Glen of Harlingin, Texas; her devoted sister in law, Shirley Jaszczurski of Amsterdam and nieces and nephews. Services are Saturday at 10:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Mass Of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Stephen?s Church. Fr. Ronald Matulewicz, celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus? Cemetery. A calling hour will begin at 9:00 am Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Stephan?s Church or to Community Hospice Of Amsterdam, both in care of the funeral home office.
