Obituary of Connie L. Guilder

Connie L. Guilder, 42, of State Hwy 30 North, Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was born in the Town of Amsterdam, NY on September 11, 1964 a daughter of Richard Kane and Shirley Pitcher Kane. She was a 1983 graduate of Fonda High School. Mrs. Guilder was employed for over 22 years at the Mount Loretto Nursing Home in Amsterdam as a Nurses Aid and worked in other capacities at the nursing home. Connie was an avid bowler and bingo player. She bowled in various Leagues throughout the years at Perry Lanes in Johnstown and Imperial Bowling Center in Amsterdam. She was a great mom and wife and enjoyed spending time with her family. She married Edward J. Guilder on August 17, 1985. In addition to her loving husband survivors include her two daughters, Tavia Lynn Hoover and her husband Kevin of Mayfield, NY, Carrie Sue Guilder of Perth, NY. Her mother, Shirley Pitcher Kane of Town of Perth, NY, three brothers, Richard Kane of Ft. Plain, NY, Arthur Kane of Muncee, Indiana, and John Kane of Broadalbin, NY. Two sisters, Debbie Oeser of St. Johnsville, NY and Eldora Bakelmann of Lehigh Acres, Florida. One granddaughter, Brianna Hoover of Perth. Father-in-Law, Edward Judson Guilder of Amsterdam and Mother-in-Law, Glenda Louise Bush of Amsterdam. Several brother and sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 11:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Brian Dykema presiding. Interment will be in Perth Cemetery, Perth NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 19, 2007 from 4:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
