Obituary of Eleanor M. Wytrwal

Mrs. Eleanor M. Wytrwal, 87, formerly of Amsterdam, died Monday at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home. She was born September 25, 1919 in Amsterdam, daughter of the late William and Mary Wojtkewicz. Mrs. Wytrwal was a graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School and a homemaker. She was a member of Stanislaus Church and the Rosary Society. She was married February 15, 1942 to Chester Wytrwal who pre-deceased her in 1995. Survivors include her children, Mary Jo Traino of Jamesville, NY, Michael Wytrwal of Gloversville and William Wytrwal of Latham. She is also survived by her sister, Florence Reisigl of Amsterdam, one grandson, Spencer Traino and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wytrwal was pre-deceased by her sisters, Connie and Wanda, as well as her brothers William, Raymond and Edward Wojtkewicz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Thursday at St. Stanislaus Church, 50 Cornell Street, Amsterdam. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville. St. Stanislaus Church Ladies Rosary Society will conduct their ritual prayers at 4:15 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to St. Stanislaus Church.
