Obituary of Patricia L. Decker

Mrs. Patricia L. Decker, age 76, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville. She was born on April 2, 1931 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Eva Craig Harris. A lifelong Gloversville resident, she and her husband resided at Trackside Homes in Johnstown for the past five months. Pat was employed at the former Johnstown Hospital and the Nathan Littauer Hospital, and also provided private home care. She was also a Health Care Provider at home through St. Mary?s Hospital, Amsterdam. She retired as a home health aide at the Fulton County Nursing Service; Johnstown. Mrs. Decker was of Catholic faith, and was a member of the Johnstown Women of the Moose and the Ida McGinnis Senior Citizens of Gloversville. Pat was married on July 2, 1949 to George L. Decker who survives. Also surviving are five children, Bonnie L. Paul Conti, Pamela J. Mel Bray and Stephen K. Decker of Gloversville, Denice A. Mike Lapointe of Jacksonville, Florida and Leslie R. John Phillips of Maple Grove, MN; a brother, William Harris of Gloversville; ten grandchildren, Melissa Rogers, Derek Bray, Wade Conti, Corrin Diamond, Zachary Decker, Jamie Lee, Benjamin Decker, Padraic Decker, Kayla Phillips and Kyle Phillips; three great-grandchildren, Grayden Lee, Kody Rogers and Landon Lee; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Harris. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 pm Thursday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a prayer service will be held at 10 am Friday.
