Obituary of Margaret Gardner

Margaret S. Gardner 90, of Gloversville passed away on Thursday April 12, 2007 at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility. Born in Gloversville on October 6, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Putman Stoddard. Mrs. Gardner was educated in Gloversville schools, and following this, she worked in the laundry department of Robison and Smith Dry Cleaners for 35 years. On October 4, 1940 she married Robert Gardner, who predeceased her in 1998. She was also a former member of the Bleecker Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Gardner is survived by her son, Bruce Mary Jane Gardner of Gloversville, by her sister Ellen Stack of Gloversville, by two grandchildren Leslie Ann Evans and Melinda Lee Gardner and by her four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew. Mrs. Gardner is predeceased by her sister Hilda Cole. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home 51 Fremont Street Gloversville, NY 12078.
