Obituary of Catherine Iannotti

Catherine Iannotti, 95, formerly of Daniel Street, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility with her family at her side. Born in Amsterdam on January 13, 1912, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Zepperi. Educated locally, she lived here her entire life. Catherine was employed by the former Chalmer?s Knitting Company and later for Mohawk Sportswear before she retired. She was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Seniors at one time. She and her late husband enjoyed to travel with the seniors and also to spend time with their grandchildren. She was the widow of Ralph Joseph Iannotti who passed away on April 1, 1995. Her loving family includes her son, Donald Ralph Iannotti and his wife Pat of Amsterdam; her granddaughters, Noreen Maszdzen, Michele Merz, Lisa Kenyon and Kelly Iannotti; great grandchildren, Thomas, Christine, Heather, Ashleigh, Kelly, Nicole, Zachary and Billy; brother, William Lillian Zepperi,; sisters, Louise John Pepe, and Rose Lovelace all of Amsterdam; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass Of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:15 am at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church. Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti, celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, where the Legacy Candle Ceremony will take place at 6:45 pm.
