Obituary of Emma F. Schassberger

Mrs. Emma F. Schassberger, 98, formerly of Galway, died Sunday at the Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility. She was born December 4, 1908 in Herne, Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Emma Hannaman Busse. Mrs. Schassberger came to this country in 1927 and lived in New Jersey for many years before locating to this area about 10 years ago. Emma was a homemaker and married Max Schassberger on July 26, 1938. He pre-deceased her in 1990. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Andy Ambrose of Galway. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at First Hopkinton Cemetery, Hopkinton, Rhode Island, at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are by the Kobuskie- Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
