Obituary of Lucille L. Richardson

Mrs. Lucille L. Kenyon Richardson, age 76, of Mayfield died Monday, March 5, 2007 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Emergency room after she was stricken at home. She was born April 8, 1930 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Clyde and Bertha Meihoffer Kenyon. Lucille owned and operated Jerry?s Used Furniture in Gloversville with her husnband from 1970 to 1990. Her full-time job was taking care of her children and husband. Above all Lucille dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. She was the rock that tried to keep her family together. Her life was devoted to taking care of family and friends. She loved the casino, and on any given day she would drop everything and head out to the casino when anyone was available and willing to take her there. Survivors include three children, Bruce C. Richardson Betsy of San Antonio, Texas, Deborah Ann Port of Gloversville and Dorothy J. Zimmerman and her fiancé Arnold Eckerson of Mayfield; daughter-in-law Dawn Ambridge of Gloversville; three brothers, Clyde Kenyon Meda of Gloversville, Calvin Kenyon Caroline and Robert Kenyon of Florida; four sisters, Jacqueline Sena Tony, Donna Fredericks Alan, Evelyn Brooks and Carolyn Bayes, all of Gloversville; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Richardson, Candi Jo Richardson, Brucie Richardson Gracie, Christina Moore Sean, Stephanie Richardson, Jennifer Garret, Cynthia Moore, Jacqueline Ward Neil Gordon, Brittany Zimmerman, Gerald Eckerson and Connor Eckerson; 13 great-grandchildren, Brookelynn Richardson, Jacob Richardson, Xavier Richardson, Mia Martinez, Faith Richardson, Nicholas Richardson, Christopher Richardson, Patrick Moore, Douglas Moore, Lyric Randall, Braydon Ward, Hailey Ward and Lareesa Ward; many nieces, nephews cousins and dearly loved friends Audrey Coleman and Dana Keller. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald I. Richardson in 1998; her son, Daniel C. Richardson in 1996; also her brother Clarence ?Skip? Kenyon and sister Doris Pecorino. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7pm Friday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held 11am Saturday with the Rev. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice
