Obituary of Bertha M. Seelow

Bertha M.?Gray? Seelow, 95, formerly of Florida Ave, Amsterdam and most recently a resident of E.L. Wilkinson RHCF passed away Friday February 23, 2007 at the facility. Born in Gloversville, NY on February 12, 1912 a daughter of Arthur and Lydia Mcguire. She was a lifelong resident of the Gloversville and Amsterdam area and attended Gloversville High School. Mrs. Seelow worked as a seamstress in various glove mills in the area including the Winigs Glove Shop in Gloversville. She was a former member of the Gloversville Seniors and was a member at one time of St. Luke?s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam. Mrs. Seelow was always caring for others especially her family. She married Watson Seelow November 9, 1958. He passed away in 1991. Survivors include her daughter, Maryland J. Flynn of Amsterdam. Four grandchildren, James Jr., Richard and Roger Meyers and Cathy Meyers-Peninger, six great-grandchildren, Jayde Meyers, Amanda Meyers, Richard Meyers Jr. and James Meyers III, Emily and Abby Peninger. One great-great grandchild, Kyra Hoffman. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2007 at 1:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Interment will be in the spring in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00P.M. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
