Obituary of Allysa B. Macklin

Allysa B. Macklin, 19, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Amsterdam on November 11, 1987, the daughter of Michael D. and Susan J. Conrad Macklin. Allysa graduated from Mayfield High School in 2004. She attended Herkimer College in 2004/2005 and Fulton Montgomery Community College in 2006, where she was planning to enter the Nursing Program in the fall of 2007. Many will remember Allysa as a happy-go-lucky person. She was always joking and was the peacemaker amongst her friends and family. She was a very ?artsy? person, loved all music, animals and was a member of her High School Drama Club. Survivors include her father, Michael D. Macklin and his fiancée Betty Pasquarelli of Gloversville; her mother, Susan J. Macklin and her companion Brian Blowers of Mayfield; a brother, Tyler J. Macklin and sister Jennie R. Macklin, both of Mayfield; two half sisters, Jaime Lynn Carlo and her husband Eric of Schaticoke, NY and Laurie LaPorte and her husband Jason of Perth; paternal grandparents, James A. and Therese Macklin of Mayfield; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Allysa is predeceased by a half brother, David Michael Macklin and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Patricia Conrad. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 27 from 11AM to 2PM from the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home in Gloversville. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM with the Rev. Linda Martin officiating. Burial will follow services in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Gloversville. Donations may be made in Allysa?s memory to the James Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd., Gloversville, NY 12078
