Obituary of Louise R. Luci

Louise R. LoBalbo Luci, 60, of Log City Road, Amsterdam, New York, and Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge, NY, passed away February 17, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on July 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Jenni M. Burdow LoBalbo. She was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam and a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam. Louise retired from the Montgomery County Department of Social Services where she worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Commissioner of Social Services. She was a past President of the St. Mary?s Hospital Auxiliary. Louise enjoyed spending time with both her children and grandchildren and was an avid reader. She will be greatly missed as a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful friend. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Louise is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years Patrick W. Luci, her four children, Maureen, Susan, Dana David Piurek, and Patrick, Jr. Andrea Bronner, three grandchildren; Brandon, Austin, and Domminic; three brothers; Charles Mary LoBalbo, Edward Sue LoBalbo, Alfred Carol LoBalbo, Jr., her aunt, Addie John Nicosia, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Jenni LoBalbo and her in-laws, Pat and Mildred Luci. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at 9:15 for family and friends at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Lawrence Decker as Celebrant. There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place at the Vale Crematory, Schenectady, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Louise?s memory to the Palatine Nursing Home, 154 LaFayette Street, Palatine Bridge, NY 13428 or the Montgomery County SPCA, PO Box 484, Amsterdam, NY, 12010.
