Obituary of Mae Dunham

Mae Dunham, 96 formerly of Mayfield, died Friday at the Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown. She was born June 23, 1910 in Morris, N.Y., daughter of the late William S. and Emma Fitzgerald Johnson. Mae was a glove worker most of her life, working for the former Louis Meyers Glove Co. and also Perrella Glove Co. in Gloversville where she retired in 1972. An avid gardener, she enjoyed raising a variety of flowers. Mae was also a long time member of the Foothills United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her long time companion, Sidney Green in 1983. She is survived by her special friends of many years, Robert and Sally Morehouse of Mayfield. A graveside service will be held 3 pm Monday at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville new section. There will be no calling hours. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Foothills United Methodist Church, 17 Fremont St. Gloversville. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
