Obituary of Edward Casimir Luzinas

Edward Casimir Luzinas, at rest and at peace on February 7, 2007. Born in Amsterdam, New York on September 14, 1923, he was the last surviving child of John Casimir and Nellie Bagdon Luzinas. He served as a gunner in the point tank of Company C 710th Tank Battalion US Army during World War II, with combat time in the Islands of Anguar and Peliliu in the Philippines. After the war, he worked as an electrician at the American Locomotive Works and then at the Alco Products for twenty six years, retiring in 1966 when he then began EDOT?S Pizza in Broadalbin. Edward was president of the Broadalbin Chamber Of Commerce in 1963, and was a published author of his war memoirs, called ?Tanker?. Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers, Anthony, Stephen, Albert Luzinas and Leo Degutis; and a sister, Agnes Besko. In accordance with his wishes, there are no calling hours and interment will take place in the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
