Obituary of Dolores O'Connell Cronin

Dolores O´Connell Cronin died of natural causes on January 30, 2007 at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown, NY. Dolores was born on December 7, 1928 in Troy, NY. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene O?Connell, former owners of the Circular Grill in Gloversville. Mrs. Cronin was a graduate of Gloversville High School, and spent many years in Gloversville working at the Circular Grill, and later at St. Thomas Inc., before moving to Mt. Vernon, NY. She owned and operated Snelling & Snelling Employment Agency in Yonkers, NY and Perfect Match Employment Agency in New York, NY. In 1995, she retired to Sebastian, Florida and returned to Gloversville in 2002, where she lived at Kingsboro Towers on Frontage Road for three years, before residing at Wells Nursing Home. Dolores is survived by two daughters, Nancy St. Thomas Pavlik of Shirley, Massachusetts and Susan St. Thomas of Gloversville; two sons, Bill St. Thomas of Leon, Mexico and Robert Cronin of Snead, Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Christine St. Thomas of New Hampshire, Andrew and Parker Littlehale of Massachusetts, Megan St. Thomas of Gloversville and Jeremy and Perla St. Thomas of the Dominican Republic. Dolores is also survived by four great grandchildren as well as her life-long friends Fran Carr and Muriel Ecker. She is predeceased by her husband Richard Cronin, her sister Gloria Egan of Frasier Park, California and by her brother Jack O?Connell of Swampscott, Massachusetts. A memorial prayer service will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville, with the Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at FernDale Cemetery, Johnstown.
