Obituary of Lila G. Dufel

Lila G. Dufel, 82, of Prospect Street, Tribes Hill, passed away Wednesday morning at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home. Born in Fort Plain, New York on January 7, 1924, she was the daughter of Emory and Jessie Prime. She lived in Pennsylvania for a time and returned to this area in 1970. She was employed as a home health care aide for Montgomery County. Lila was a member of the Iroquois and Sir William Johnson Seniors and was a Seventh Day Adventist. She enjoyed crafts and traveling with her senior groups. Lila was most happy spending time with her children and family. Her husband, Fred Dufel, whom she married in 1972, predeceased her in 1995, and a son, Richard Green passed away in 1989. Her loving family includes her children, Ronald Vickie Green of Pine Grove, PA, Robert Gertrude Green of Harrisburg, PA, Joyce Michael Westlotsky of Wernersville, PA, Barbara Michael Bowman of Middletown, PA and Patricia Jamie Pearce of Johnstown, NY; step children, Thomas Brenda Dufel of Fultonville, Barbara Tony Reed of Clifton Park, NY and Debbie Hayes of Tribes Hill; one brother; Lyman ?Ike? Kathleen ?Babe? Prime of St. Augustine, Florida; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandson as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, with her nephew, Rev. Wade Prime officiating. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
