Obituary of Marilyn B. Semprivivo

Marilyn B. Semprivivo, 57, of the High Rise Apartments, Wall Street, passed away Sunday evening at St. Mary?s Hospital with her family at her side. Born in Peekskill, New York on June 5, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Richard J., Jr. and Marion Miller Bowdren. Following her graduation from high school, she entered the US Army and served during the Vietnam era. She moved to the area in 1972 where she raised her family and returned here in 2002 after living in Texas for several years. Marilyn was of the Roman Catholic faith. She was married to Richard A. Semprivivo in October of 1973. He passed away on December 24, 1985. Her loving family includes her children: Richard A. Semprivivo, Jr. of Amsterdam, Scott J. of Hagaman, Jamie M. of Amsterdam, William M. Yager of Malta and Candi Yager of Amsterdam; she was especially close to her grandchildren, Julian M. Francisco and Austin J. Semprivivo of Amsterdam; her brother, Richard J. Bowdren III of Port Jefferson, New York; a sister, Eileen McIntyre of Austin, Texas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A service of Remembrance to celebrate her life will take place on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue with the Rev. John Califano officiating. Relatives and friends are invited. Contributions may be made, in care of the funeral home, to the Community Hospice of Amsterdam or to the Montgomery County SPCA to acknowledge Marilyn?s love of animals. She made a generous anatomical donation to the Albany Medical College.
