Obituary of Daniel E. Dmyszewicz

Daniel E. Dmyszewicz, 54, of Union Street, passed away Monday morning at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born July 5, 1952 in Amsterdam, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Rosemary Ross Dmyszewicz. Dan was raised in Amsterdam until moving to Broadalbin in 1971. He was a graduate of the Wilbur H. Lynch High School class of 1970. Dan owned and operated the D&D Drywall Inc. in Broadalbin until his disabilities made him retire early. No one could ask for a better son, father, grandfather, brother or friend. He loved being Grandpa to his beautiful grandchildren. Dan enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and camping with his family. Survivors include a son, Daniel E. Dmyszewicz Jr. and his wife Jennifer and his loving grandchildren, Ty John and Kasey Paige, all of Clifton Park, NY; his sister, Karen Dmyszewicz Meyers and her companion Douglas Quick of Amsterdam; his brother, William and his wife Lois of Broadalbin; his Step Sister Sharon Kaminski and her husband Tom; a niece, Sarah and her husband Will and a nephew Shaun and his wife Jill; great niece and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Daniel was predeceased by his Step Brother Robert Benham. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Stephen?s Roman Catholic Church, 46 North Pawling Street, Hagaman, NY with the Rev. Owen Shanley as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Stephen?s cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
