Obituary of Mildred W. Slauson

Mildred W. Slauson, 89, of Marion, Ohio and formerly a resident of Amsterdam, New York died Sunday morning October 7, 2006 at Marion General Hospital in Ohio. She was born in Amsterdam, New York on October 17, 1916 to the late James L. and Anna T. McRedmond Horton. She was a member of St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church in Ohio, the Moose Lodge in Delaware and Marion, Pleasant and Prospect Senior Citizens. Mildred is survived by a daughter Judith A. James Keller of Marion, Ohio; two sons, Robert Sandra Slauson of New Philadelphia, and Jeffrey Rebecca Slauson of Plymouth; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, James Horton of Red Bluff, CA and two sisters, Beatrice Bucci of Scotia, New York and Ann Leggerio of Albany, New York. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Harold Scott Slauson on December 22, 1968; a son, David Slauson and sisters, Adeline, Agnes and Lorraine. Committal services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30AM at St. Mary?s Cemetery Chapel, Ft. Johnson, New York with Rev. Anthony Gulley presiding. Interment will follow. Calling hours were held on Monday from 4:00-6:00PM at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio with a prayer service with Fr. William J. Ferguson at 4:00PM at the funeral home. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, New York.
