Obituary of Patrick J. Tyler

Patrick J. Tyler, 25, of Midline Road, passed away suddenly Friday morning. Born in Amsterdam on July 14, 1981, he was the son of Richard and Linda Tessitore Tyler. Patrick was a 1999 graduate of Broadalbin Perth Central School where he excelled in sports. He was Varsity Captain for the Basketball and Baseball Teams, and earlier was a member of the undefeated champion CYO basketball league. He studied under the carpenter?s apprentice course and was employed by Local 370 Carpenter?s Union of Albany. Patrick was a parishioner with his family at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. He also played recreational softball and was an avid fisherman who loved the ocean. His legacy to his family and friends was his unconditional love especially to his nephew and nieces who will miss him terribly. He leaves his parents, Richard and Linda Tyler of Amsterdam; brothers, Christopher and his wife Michelle Tyler of Amsterdam, and Sean J. and his wife Martha Tyler of Amsterdam; nephew, Dylan Tyler and nieces, Jordan, Mya and Ava Tyler; maternal grandmother, Rita Tessitore of Perth; paternal grandmother, Theresa Tyler of Amsterdam; aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved yellow lab, Duce. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church with Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti, celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4-8 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Interment is in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson. Contributions may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, in care of the funeral home office.
