Obituary of Phyllis M. Miller

Phyllis M. Miller, 90 years old, formerly of Grieme Avenue, died Sunday at the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility where she had been a patient for the past six months. Phyllis was born March 26, 1916 in Amsterdam, a daughter of Salvatore and Rosa Pallotta Morini and was a life long resident of Amsterdam. She was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School and attended the former Amsterdam School of Commerce. Phyllis was employed as a Nurse?s Aide at St. Mary?s Hospital and did private duty as a Home Health Aide for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church. Phyllis was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by four children: Jeffrey M. Miller of Amsterdam, Rose Miller of Syracuse, Barry Miller of Arkansas and Margaret Nixon of Canajoharie. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 8:15am Wednesday at Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed at 9:15am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Lawrence Decker, Celebrant. Burial is in St. Mary?s Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5 until 7pm at the funeral home.
