Obituary of Anna M. King

Anna M. King, 99, of Perkins St. Amsterdam and most recently of Oregon, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 at her daughter?s home in Terre Bonne, Oregon. Born in Amsterdam, NY on April 21, 1907 a daughter of Charles and Adela Fairchild Bloomquist. She was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended local schools. Mrs. King worked for many years at the former Chalmers Knitting Mills, and Breton Industries in Amsterdam retiring in 1964. She was a member of St. Luke?s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam. She was also a member of the former Daughters of the King, the High Rise Bingo Club and the Inman Senior Citizens in Amsterdam. She married Augustas E. King on August 30, 1928 he passed way on April 30th, 2004. They were married 76 years. . She is survived by one son, Earl King of Benson, NY; two daughters, Dolores Aldi of Amsterdam and Joan Saita of Terre Bonne, Oregon; eight grandchildren, Michele T. Aldi Jr. of Amsterdam, Thomas A. Aldi of Amsterdam, Karen King of Philadelphia, PA, Debbie Jones of Philadelphia, PA, Ann Madrid Saita of California, Colleen Processor of Virginia, Kim and Maureen Saita of California; great-grandchildren, Shannon Aldi Hogan, Michele T. Aldi III, Thomas M. Aldi, Vanessa Aldi, Colleen Aurilla, Kevin and Randy Simpson, Alex and Elisa Madrid, Austin, Bailey and Skyler Processor and Noah Saita and two great-great-grandchildren, Michele Aldi IV and Domenico Aldi, Several Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive in the U.S. and Canada. She was predeceased by a grandson, Gary King. She was also predeceased by four sisters, Jenny Bloomquist, Marion Brooker, Edith Davies and Kathryn Marotta. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 11:00A.M. at Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam with Rev. John Califano presiding. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke?s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pine and Division St., Amsterdam, NY 12010.
