Obituary of Lillian B. Scuderi Conti

Lillian B. Scuderi Conti, 81, of Grounsel Street, Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas after a short illness. Born July 27, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the Agatino and Rose Marie Catrini Scuderi. She was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn. Lillian moved with her husband to Amsterdam in 1945, where she lived until moving to Las Vegas in 1992. Lillian was employed by J. C. Penny Company in Amsterdam for 14 years and retired in 1974 as assistant office manager. She enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting friends, liked to watch baseball and football on T.V., and enjoyed going to the Santa Fe Casino. Lillian was a former parishioner and Eucharistic minister of the St. Michael?s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam and was a parishioner of the St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church in Las Vegas. On June 24, 1945, she married Thomas Anthony Conti. Besides her loving husband who survives, she is survived by her dear son, Richard A. Conti of Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister, Camille J. D? Ambrose of Tom?s River, New Jersey; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by a sister, Domenica Mae Scuderi White, who died in January 23, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at 10:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church, East Main Street, Amsterdam. Burial will take place in St. Mary?s Cemetery in Fort Johnson, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday one-hour prior from 9 am to 10 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Lillian?s memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
