Obituary of Mary C. Lettieri

Mary C. Lettieri, 84, formerly of Arnold Ave, Amsterdam, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam, New York. Born in Frankfurt, Kentucky a daughter of Mr. Coleman and Mary Lee Perham Coleman. Mrs. Lettieri grew up in Kentucky and was a High School graduate there. She moved to Detroit, Michigan from Kentucky as a young girl. She then moved to Florida where she spent a good part of her life. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and had a great sense of humor. For many years Mrs. Lettieri was the owner and operator of several different pubs and restaurants in Florida. For several years she ran the former Far Away Joe?s Restaurant and the Italian American Club both in Hallendale, Florida before retiring in the late 1980?s. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Confederacy and was of the Christian Faith. She married Giovanni ?John? C. Lettieri who passed away two years ago. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Bunker-Sondej of Phoenix, Arizona, Patricia Levy of Knoxville, Tennessee and Diane Crial of Amsterdam; one brother, Bruce Coleman of Detroit Michigan; twelve grandchildren, Mark, Jenny, Josh, Jamie, Brooke, Michael, Maria, Debbie, Anthony, Nick, Katie and Sierra and six great-grandchildren, Drew, Savannah, Gregory, Giovanni, Sean and Mark. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Mary was pre-deceased by her daughter, Deborah J. Bunker in 1980. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 1, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, New York 12010. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday at the conclusion of calling hours at the funeral home at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in the Florida National Veteran?s Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one?s choice C/O the funeral home.
